Henan clothing industry: trillion yuan of "clothing" to be launched

The road to the rise of garment industry in our province is to keep pace with the reform and opening up.

Henan garment industry has risen rapidly: in 1978, the output value of garment industry in Henan Province was only 2 billion yuan, with a output of 29.83 million pieces; in 2018, the output value of garment industry enterprises reached 300 billion yuan, with a output of 3.2 billion pieces, 150 times and 107 times that of 1978, respectively.

From a single variety to a hundred flowers blooming: In 1978, Henan clothing from the past unknown, to the present emergence of Mengshuya, Arida, Yiyang and other well-known Chinese trademarks to 11, Henan 70 well-known trademarks.

At present, there are 167,000 enterprises and merchants in the garment industry in the whole province, with more than 4.8 million employees. The garment industry has become an important force in the national economy of our province.

With the help of five major projects launched by Henan Garment Association, namely "Qiao Daughter-in-law Project", "Settlement Project", "Quality Improvement Project", "Emerging Market Development Project" and "Industry Marriage Project", the garment industry is making a "fission" development.

"Qiao Daughter-in-law Project" is well known all over the country. More than 6800 satellite factories have been built in more than 20 cities, counties and districts, and 700,000 "three nothingness" people have been successfully integrated and trained to become the garment industry army, which has helped nearly 200,000 poor families get out of poverty and build a high-quality production capacity of 150 billion yuan per year.

   "Settlement Project" expands industry. The project has set up a camp in the relevant industrial parks of the province, built factories and developed, realized capacity expansion and equipment upgrading, and a large number of characteristic parks and industrial clusters such as Xinmi "Famous City of Chinese Brand Garments", Anyang Baizhuang "Famous Town of Chinese Children's Dress", Guangshan Down, Qundong Trousers and so on have grown rapidly.

In order to vigorously promote the development of garment industry, Henan Daily and Henan Garment Association have launched 10 major brands of Henan garment industry, and put these brands into the "Top 100 Brand Support Plan" to vigorously promote the development of garment industry and make contributions to the development of trillion garment industry.
