Down jackets bring warmth and comfort to people in the cold season, but also bring trouble to some consumers. Drilling is one of the most prominent problems. Some down jackets will always have a velvet after a period of time. Even a thousand down jackets are not spared. After the down jacket has a velvet condition, it not only affects the appearance, especially for some sensitive friends. It may also cause allergies. Drilling is the feathers in the down jacket, the down and the fabric, the lining.
If the velvet is drilled inward, the feathers and velvet will stick to the sweater and even into the underwear, which makes people feel itchy and uncomfortable; if it is drilled, it will affect the beauty of the whole piece of clothing. There are three main reasons for down jacket downsizing:
Down quality
First of all, the most important thing is the quality of the down, the low content of the pile, the more the flying silk, the easier it is to velvet. The higher the pile content, the less the fly ash is, the less the velvet condition is. In the case where the content of the pile yarn in the same pile weight is large and the pile content is low, since the diameter of the pile yarn is small, the probability of drilling from the surface of the fabric is large, and thus the possibility of occurrence of the pile is increased. Therefore, if the down jacket is filled with inferior down, the chance of drilling is high.
2. Fabric
It is generally believed that the poor anti-drilling property is because the fabric density is not enough. When the tightness index is small, the fabric structure is loose, and the down is easier to drill.
3. Sewing quality
If the sewing needle is thick, the needle thread will be too thick, which will cause the needle eye to be too large. The too large needle eye will provide the passage for the down, which will eventually affect the anti-drilling performance of the down jacket. In addition, if the stitch length is too large, it is easy to cause a large local down content in the inner liner, resulting in down feathers.
Consumer purchase
Down jacket notes:
one look
Look at the label, whether the various marks on the down jacket are complete, such as the name of the factory, the location of the factory, the composition of the fabric, the lining, the type of down and the amount of cashmere, the amount of cashmere, the washing mark, the quality grade, the execution standard code, etc. . Look at the workmanship, high-quality products are suitable for sewing, uniform, no short-term, jump stitches, fine and neat stitches, and there are no velvet and diamonds on the fabric. Inferior products work rough, the stitches are different, if there are more long pieces of hair constantly drilled from the needle eye, there are quality problems. Look at the degree of fluffiness, good product fluffy degree, the higher the bulkiness, the better the cashmere, the more the amount of cashmere.
Two touch
Touch the down jacket by hand and test the softness of the hand and the presence of a complete small piece. For example, if the hand feels soft and lubricated and there are complete small pieces, it is a good product. If there are too large and too thick long hair pieces, the hand feels soft but the elasticity is poor, and the hair piece is softened instead of down. If the hand feels soft but there is a short feather tube, it is crushed hair. This kind of clothing is inferior product.
Three presses
Press the fluffy down jacket, then loosen it, and quickly rebound, returning to the original fluffy, indicating that the down jacket has good bulkiness, and the down jacket has high cashmere rate, good elasticity and good quality. If it does not rebound or rebound slowly, the rebound height is very low, indicating that the quality of the filled down is not good, and the filled down is likely to be the crushed hair of chicken feathers, duck feathers or other long hair pieces. If the amount of cashmere is low, a certain amount of flakes or pulverized hair is added. The elasticity will be poor, and you will feel heavy in your hand.
Four shots
Gently tap the down jacket with your hand and see if there is any dust spillage at the pins. If there is no dust spill as a good product, if there is dust overflow, it is a poor quality product for crushing wool or gray sand. Use both hands to look at the front and back of the down jacket and see if there is fluff. If the pile is drilled, it means that the fabric or lining used is poor in anti-drilling performance or has no anti-drilling performance. It is an inferior product.
Five sniffing
The nose is close to the down jacket to take a deep breath, smell the smell inside, and check for smell and odor. If there is obvious astringency and odor, it means that all down raw materials have not been treated by the process and strictly washed and disinfected, indicating that the quality is not good or does not meet the requirements, which is inferior product.
Six
Hand down the down jacket, if there is a wool out, it is not good to use the fabric.
Seven
Use a hand to rub the weight of a down product, while watching the size of the volume, the lighter the weight, the larger the volume is the best.
